  1. To Jessica B: In additon to checking with your doctor you should check out Paul Pitchford's Healing with Whole Foods, Third Addition. Pg 73-75 is an interesting read for a yeast overgrowth in the body. One of the things he recommends strongly is consumption of garlic. Other recommendations he has: avoid sweeteners, alcohol, complex carbs and increase grains like quinoa, millet, and oats. He also recommends to limit animal proteins, and eat cabbage & seaweeds to increase beneficial bacteria that consume yeast. Again, i'm no doctor here, but healing with whole foods makes TOTAL sense to me. I bet Pitchford's book is available at your local library. I purchased mine on Amazon.

  3. Yogi Tea's Peach DeTox tea is an excellent way to get you back on track. I've been in a toxic coffee rut for a week now (dehydrated, fatigued, flu like symptoms with no fever) and the tea helped me feel better overnight. I took 3 cups in the afternoon/evening hours and one cup this morning. I feel much better.

  4. GARLIC! 1 whole clove "crisped" in hot olive oil, put over a corn chip and some salsa. A daily routine to keep the bugs away this winter. Going to try making Fire Cider, too.

  5. Maple Syrup + Fresh Lemon Juice = a happy little girl...My diva has colds that go right to her chest. When i hear the familiar rumbling cough, i get out the "syrup" and it's rendered silent for a few hours. LOVE IT.

  6. Catnip Tea helped my restless, teething son tonight. boiled water, steeped tea 10 for minutes. Put in 2 tablespoons into a cup of milk. 20 minutes later, the child was calm. Thank you Rosemary Gladstar!
